Okay so ive searched and searched and finally ive decided to just make a thread and ask my fellow nicoclub enthusiasts this question

I have a 91 hicas SE with the stock LSD and ABS, Due to title issues with that car, I have bought a 92 non-hicas non-abs hatch shell to swap my motor and all into.
The shell didnt come with a driveshaft so I was going to try and buy a used non abs shaft but then realized my other shell has an lsd so why not just swap the diff and shaft over and boom problem solved

BUT can I do this? will an abs lsd from the hicas model shell fit into a non abs shell with a non hicas subframe???

Please let me know any Info/advice/suggestions as this is basically the biggest part holding up my swap from shell to shell, I think it would work I mean why not if I take the diff and driveshaft right? Any feedback is so appreciated you will be my hero haha

If I can rember right, the sub frames are all the same. The drive shaft and LSD housing are different lengths. So factory LSD drive shaft must be match to factory LSD. (Factory HICAS-ll shaft is shorter and LSD housing is longer)

On the other hand. Factory VLSD can fit in non HICAS-ll cars. The LSD will push the drive shaft a little into the the carrier bearing if using the two part factory drive shaft.

If you swap over both the LSD and driveshaft you will have zero issues.
