'91 S13 Speedometer, among other things

I've seen several people mention speedometer problems in the S13. Mine's been doing the same general thing -- either not working at all, bouncing, hovering at 110, or working perfectly -- but I have another problem (or two). That is, my odometer, my trip odometer, and my clock all work only while the car is running. In other words, the clock resets itself to 1:00 when I turn the car back on, doesn't display when it's off, and occasionally stops clocking time while the car is running. Every once in awhile the odometer(s) will start clocking miles, but it's rare. So my question is, A) are these somehow connected and B) how could I go about fixing any and all of them.
