Alright gang, I really need help on this one.

Here are the symptoms:at idle; it remains constant (800 RPM) but the car shakes (like a rolling shake)

4th gear, 4000 RPM; I hit the gas, very little acceleration happens; rpms do not climb as perusal

5th gear (final drive) the car shakes if throttle is pressed anywhere near half down

When this happens the car smells REALLY rich.

This happened on my way to work; as usual this happened while I am working 12 hour days, 7 days a week.

Any advice would be great.

BTW Stock Engine; just put in a fuel pump.

Just pulled the codes:

14 and a 32So a Vehicle Speed Sensor Circuit and an EGR related trouble; EGR has been there for a while though

Any advice?

The EGR problem could be the issue, EGRs can gradually clog over time and sometimes only on 1 or 2 cylinders which causes the EGR gasses to back up into only 1 or 2 of the cylinders. This can cause poor performance and if that code has been there for a while, could be your problem :D

Well; I unplugged the battery and let the car sit for an hour then plugged it back in.

The car drove fine on the way home (check engine light still on).

My drive is twenty miles, mostly freeway. When I was 2 blocks from work the problem started up again.

Could it just be a bad ecu?

its very possible the fuel injector o-ring is leaking If your a DOHC, the bottom seal is terrible for leaking. you can pick up 4 brand new nissan ones for 10 bucks or so.. could also be an injector is stuck open.

I suggest pulling the fuel rail, its not too hard, then turn the key to the on position, and let the fuel pump prime, watch the tips of the injectors, if they are bad, you will see them leak. replace whichever one is leaking, DONE

Thanks Chaluska

I'll check that out the second I can; it's very possible knowing this car (290K on it right now with the original engine).

If anyone has any other thoughts please let me know.
