Here's a barometer on how my car is running. Ran with a new I35. We were dead even from 60 to 120. Exactly the same. He backed off at 120. Am I down on power or is this normal? I was a little frustrated, thought I would pull him. Took my frustration out on a poor Acura later on.

Also forgot to ask in my last quote, when I start her up, it guns to 2K rpm everytime. Normal?

Wow, hey thanks Fred. I don't feel so bad now. Really cheered me up. Any idea about the 2000rpm start up surge? Btw, my niece would like to know what the bouncing white guy is?

From 60 to 120, you should have taken him if your Q was running "as new". The I35 has its sweet spot lower in the RPM range, and is NOT an accomplished freeway mauler.

Quarter mile is a different story. From a dead stop, he should have gotten the jump, and perhaps a car length until 40 mph or so. Then you'd (theoretically) reel him in and pass easily (as you go through the traps). Same ET, different MPH.

Good choice of words, LOL.

I wouldn't mess with a Q from a 70 mph roll in the Max. :evilhaha

My Q needs just at 22.0 seconds to hit 120 mph. 6 seconds from 100 to 120................14.8/96 in quarter then the shift then 16.0 secs to 100.............so 6 secs to 120.

What the engine revs to at start depends on the coolant temp at start.............normally at 32F..........1600-1700 on mine. This high rev is used to dump fuel into precat to get it to light off quickly so that after 10 seconds emissions start to drop fast......takes 2-3 minutes before main cat is up to speed converting emissions.........again depending on ambient temp.......never done any testing below 32F.

Definitely not a G50 or F50. An A32 or A33 Max/I30/135 vs FY33 would be interesting though..
