I just got my first flat tire (congrats to me) and I'm wondering what size tire I'll need to replace it . Also what's a good kind of tire for driving in the desert? (dry climate, not alot of stop-and-go).

Thanks.

Edit: Just drove my car home (on the flat) so I have the tire size. What's a good tire?

Well, let me suggest you read some (if not all) of the previous posts on this subject.

Generally, the few 15" tires regarded as having a strong enough carcass for the G50 are the Michelin 235/60-15 Pilot XGTH and the Michelin 215/65-15 Pilot XGTV, and the Yokohama 225/60-15 AVS dB S2.

Sumitomo, other Yokohamas, Kumhos, Continentals Conti Sport, Falken and Nitto have (or are) being used by others.

Got to http://www.tirerack.com and read after you have read the board posts.

Might want to check your rims (expecially the one you drove on) before mounting anything.

My spare popped as I was lowering the jack. What are the chances?

NONE of the tires we mentioned [or any make brand available] are even 80% of the performance of the oem [as delivered tire Pilot Sport] in 15" sizes. The oem orginal was very soft and wore out in 15,000 miles but stopped and handled by an order of magnitude better.
