Anyone know of a place or part # for a power steering pump rebuild kit with gaskets and seals etc.
I ordered a rebuilt pump online, but waited 3 months to put it on. Then when I went to put it on noticed it is different than my 91 Q45 even though it says direct fit.
One of the bolt holes that mount a bracket to the pump to the engine does not have threads in it all. I do not want to spend $200 on a reman pumped, rather spend 20$ on the gaskets and rebuild mine myself.

I found one for 4 wheel steering, but mine does not have that so not sure if it is the same.

Thanks in advance.

I ordered a gates kit from Rock Auto.

1991 INFINITI Q45 4.5L V8
GATES 348427 Power Steering Pump Seal Kit $ 20.79

Not looking forward to the job, but will be glad to have a non leaking power steering system. The peace of mind knowing it isn't going to run dry while my wife is driving is worth it to me.

Please let us know how rebuilding goes... leaking pumps are pretty rare on the older Qs, and I've never heard of anyone rebuilding one before. The high pressure hoses are known to fail, so I'd check on those while you're under there...

Yes I checked all the hoses before ordering. The pump is seeping more than it is leaking, but since it is off and I am in there I am going to clean it up and rebuild it.
My pressure hoses are all fine surprisingly, but when they do go out I will remove them and have them rebuilt by my local hydraulic shop before I pay 400$ for them at the stealership.

I did however order replacement return hoses from the stealer at a wopping $105 even after my 22% discount.

If it's just a little seepage, I'd be tempted to occasionally add some seal conditioner, and let it be.

Ya I understand where you are coming from. That being said the pump is already off and everything is all torn down, and since I am replacing the hoses I am going to service everything possible to avoid tearing it down again later.
Thanks for your input.
