Haven't been here in a while so bare with me. (I'm surprised I remembered my log in)

I have a 91 Q45 with 145K, no active suspension. Recently I went to the junk yard to get the Mass Air Flow sensor connector, because the original was falling apart and had extremly poor connection.

I am an electronic technician, so I beleive I spliced the 3 color coded wires in correctly, making sure the battery terminal was disconnected when I did so. Right after finishing up, I tried to start the car, but only got cranking.

Upon further investigation, I found that there was no fuel flowing through the fuel lines. Check the obvious things, such as the 15 amp fuse under the dash. Refered to the FSM and assumed the Fuel pump relay was one of the three blue ones next to the fuse box under the dash. After reading some of your posts, I found out that the fuel pump relay is in the trunk. (That's my next check).

I have a spare control module, so I swaped it out, no luck. I wanted to jump the pump to see if comes on, and I have been reading past posts, but I am still a little unclear on whick pin exactly I should jump to ground. Also should the connector to the module be connected during this procedure? If not, where does the pump get the supply voltage to turn on when the negitive pin is grounded?

I suspect the pump, but I want to make sure before going out and purchasing a new one. The pump went once before 2 years ago, but exhibited humming symptoms several months before it did. This pump did not exhibit any of those sysptoms. Could it be because it was an after market pump? Could something I did while workiing on the MAF connector cause a problem in the fuel system?

Thanks in advance for your help.
