Whatever you get, it will not make any noticable difference in performance as the stock one is free flowing already- do a search of this site, it is a well documented topic.

thats cool, then I will just get a stock replacement, it makes it a lot easier on me then to have to decide from a variety of mufflers out there.

I asked the same question when I first got here. I was told to nix the muffler idea. The best option is to get custom headers. There really isn't much for the early Q45 in terms of aftermarket performance short of turbo. I've heard rumors of a supercharged Q, but I haven't seen it yet.

Any muffler mods you do won't gain you very much, if anything at all.

Dont think custom headers will give you any performance gains.

With a whole exhaust system the engine seems to get up easier. If you just want a muffler you could check out Magnaflow

1.) One needs to read Rswicki's posts before making this erroneous statement.

2.) If your engine "gets up easier", you probably need new motor mounts. Q45tech has commented extensively on muffler and exhaust options.

Tell em.

I asked the same thing about performance exhaust. The answer I got was custom headers if you're looking to stay NA.

1.) Looked at it, even got all the pics. By the way, those dyno sheets are pretty funky.

2.) My motor mounts are fine. I was referring to how much less stress the engine seems to have getting through the RPMs.

Wes says he's driven it and he can feel an appreciable difference.

PS. Born and raised in the sleeper world. Uncle had a chevelle STATION WAGON that ran in the 10.80 class. And dad had a Nova 4 DOOR with ecectronic exhaust cutouts and a 250 shot sleeper nitrous system. That thing would out run damn near any Q ont this net. No offence to anyone on NICO. Q's are the best!!
