They should be round but yours have been sitting in the fuel rail cup compressed for 20 years. Hence the flat side. The pic shows the OEM o-rings. Typical failure mode is for them to rise until opening, rather than dropping. Either way, if you trust your ohm meter, you might as well replace it while you're in there. I recommend Bill also for injector cleaning as he actually pressure tests the rail assemblies after assembly. Some others do not.
