Hello all, stock system sounds good but now Im having a problem with my bose sound system. The front speakers went out recently, now the front right speaker has a really high pitch sound coming out of it with no audio sound just the really high pitch noise. No sound coming out of the front left speaker at all. Its so loud I just have to keep radio off. Is my factory amp going out? Is there way to fix it or should I not bother an go with aftermarket setups? If I go with aftermarket I know I'll need the metra connectors and the antenna adapter for where the radio is but after buying it Im not sure what I'll need to do.

Any help preciate it

Are both of the front speakers still not making any noise aside from the whine? Everything is individually amped in that car and there are 3 separate fuses for the audio system that you should check before going any further.

The front left doesnt make any sound, the front right makes a really high pitch sound an hardly any audio but 2 day ago there was audio only from the from the front right and both rear speakers. I will check the fuses an let you know what I find.

Thank you

Ok I checked the "radio fuses" but only found 2 - 10 amp ones under the knee bolster which were fine. There was a fuse that let the radio on and one for the rear speakers. I didnt see one listed on the fuse label panel.

Where would that #3 front speaker fuse be?

I have had similar problem on my 92 q45 and I have determed it to be the rear speakers/amps. The noise almost sounds like alt whine but does not change pitch. The noise in my car comes and gos even with a non stock head unit.

Bad capacitors in the amplifiers - very common in all early Q45s. You will either need to have them rebuilt or go aftermarket. http://www.carstereohelp.com is one of the repair places...
