I need to know if 94up Bose head unit will fit the 91Q and if so, what connection options will get the job done. I've been using cassette apdaptor for my cd listening but the cassette only transmits to the left side now. I am trying to avoid anything but stock if possible. My system seems to work well other than the cassette but I just have to have the cd prim and proper.
One other question is on the climate controller, works well but no display anymore. Any year restrictions on the controller?

a 94 HU will go right in.. if you want one ill sell you one cheap..
The 9093 displays are the only compatible ones... Send it into jerry tucker for $100 and have it fixed.

Thanks Wes, Reason I asked about the 94 and up HU is I already bid one and won for cheap on a wim. It's a done deal, thought I would a chance In case I could use it. Seller didn't specify year Q except to say it would fit 90-95.
My concern came up because the picture shows it has large square buttons on left side instead of the smaller rounds. Thought it would be feasible route to try. Another member indicated that the 1st gen changers would only work w/90-93 Q's. I don't have a changer but the trunk has a cable in it, and I guess I would most like to find the right changer but its been a struggle. I've tried Crutchfield and Cartoys with no luck

Heres the deal on that...
The connectors are the same for 90-96, even though on most nissans they changed in 95, but not on the G50 (or the J30 for that matter).....
the 94-96 HU has changer controls, BUT the 94-96 came prewired for a changer.. The 90-93 HU did NOT have CD changer controls (it was a seperately controlled, FM modulated device)...
So if you wanted to get a 94-96 HU/changer to work in your 9093 youd have to have the cord which most the time if you buy the changer it will come with a harness... You can then put the cd changer wherever you want... but on the 94-96 Q, you just had to plug the CD changer into the harness as it came prewired, on the 90-93 you willl have to route the cord through the car.
