Yeah, you treated the symptom and not the cause. Better start by inspecting all sockets, their wiring and bulbs. For the latter, OEM or Sylvania LL only!Power2theQ wrote:Can anyone here tell me what might be burned out and how I can repair it?
Yeah, there's no current running through the jack for the fuse. I checked the box under the hood and the jack for the fuse labeled 'stop lamp' is out. Would I be correct in guessing that there's a connection under that jack that's out?Q45tech wrote:Nissan selects a fuse that is 2-2.5 times the peak ampere draw. Obviously your reengineering has blown open a wiring connection.Measure the voltage going into fuse to make sure you have not blown a larger fuse upstream of the problem fuse.
Well, the thing is, all of the rnning lights are out. The gage lights, the side lights, the yellow lights in the front, and worst of all, the brake lights, unless I hit the brakes.maxnix wrote:Yeah, you treated the symptom and not the cause. Once they are known good, start tracing as Q45tech suggested.
Good luck and welcome to NICO!
That doesn't change anything as far as diagnosing the condition of the bulbs and sockets, then the wiring.Power2theQ wrote:
