My power antenna is starting to make a grinding noise when the antenna is raised. So I guess it is time to start looking for a replacement.

Has anyone used one of the kits at the following link to replace the OEM antenna?

Does anyone have an antenna for sale?

You don't need to do that, just get a new mast from ebay or infiniti. Take the motor out, take out all the old mast bits and reinstall the new one, 30 min job for under $20.

I replace a broken mast with one from ebay as the dealership asked for $95. I ordered from this guy first but it showed up a size too small so I returned it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Power-ANTENNA-M ... 06&vxp=mtr

I believe I later ordered from this guy: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Infiniti-Q45-19 ... 23&vxp=mtr

You don't need to remove the motor assembly to install the mast but I did removed it to figure out why it keeps refuse to lock in and retract the nylon strip. All is needed is peeping in there with the help of a flash light.

That looks like the right thing Craig.

IF you don't get all of the old gear belt out when you remove the old mast, then you have to remove the motor to get the broken pieces out.
