91 Pathy VG30E swap with VG30DETT?

this may be a stupid question but would it be possible to swap my VG30E thats in a 19 pathfinder with a VG30DETT?

Its definitely possible... but I personally wouldn't recommend it. I'd spend the time and money turbocharging the stock VG30E. They are incredibly stout engines and can definitely supply you with more than enough power.

listen to mtcookson! I have owned a 91 300zx TT (Vg30dett loved it by the way) and worked on quite a bit when I was a Nissan tech, and never gave the vg30e any thought. They were just what we put timing belts on as they never broke. The vg30dett well that is another story. I bought my first house because of them.

But then I started my project. I have learned a great deal about these engines and am very impressed with what I have read. Sure they will not give you the street credit that a VG30dett will give you, but that and 3.50 will buy you a gallon of gas. These are great under rated engines and that just makes them a better bang for the buck for those in the know.
