Good morning all
I am new here to this forum, and 1st time working on a 300 zx
The vehicle is a 91 300zx non turbo and we trying to do a water pump.
However all the pump that we got new is slightly shorter then the original one that we take off the engine.
3 different pump we ordered, also ordered 1 from the dealer with the vin number of the car still no luck.
Everything fit fine except it shorter so the pulley wont go on.
Anyone else encounter this problem?

Are you installing the pulley in the correct orientation? Flip it and see if it fits.

Only goes on one way. It's like a wheel, there's a face and a backside.

You may be right. I may be thinking of the PS pulley. I've accidentally installed one of them backwards before.
