My car wont pass smog due to a dirty EGR, if I remove it and clean it will the car pass smog?

That would make sense to me. Maybe buy a new EGR valve and clean the tube.

Is it easy to get to the EGR? Do I have to remove alot of stuff?Taking apart the EGR, is that easy, was it meant to be taken apart and cleaned?

A smog tech told me that my car failed smog, because of a cloged dirty EGR Valve.

well you could put everything back together and get your car started to normal temps. and once you have done all of that, if you can try to reach under your egr you should be able to push up under the egr valve and your car should change idle and if it does then your egr valve is final another thing you should do before you put your egr valve back is to check the hole where the egr valve and the intake manifold connects and make sure there is nothing clogged up inside.

another thing, when the smog guy said it was because of your egr valve was your check engine light on

you nead to simmer down now, get a message or play withyourself to relieve some stress, your choice. in the meantime, the egrs kinda a pain to get to. no, you dont take it a part, just reach in it with pics and stuff to clean it. we asked about who said it cuz, well, when you get a smog they give you a lil paper that says why you failed with some pretty numbers on it. if its a test only they cant legaly tell you what you need to do. now, posts like what you have above says that whatever anyone asks for in order to help you,you dont care. also that your actually tryin to be this big burly bada$$, ON AN INTERNET FORUM! ps- NOTHING ANYONE POSTED ABOVE WAS TOO MEAN, BEING AN A$$, OR RUDE

Can you see the idiocracy of your question? Without ANY other info (like emmisions levels) we can't tell you if that will work or even part of your problem.
