the car will run for abouty 30 seconds with starting fluid but once thats burned up it gets nothing and dies out. ECU is code 55, cleaned the MAF, no vacuum leaks, tps at .44, fuel pressure is 55-60psi, oil pressure is at 60psi when its running (cold). I just did a new battery harness and EFI harness, they are both hooked up correctly. Grounding a plug to the plenum also shows its getting spark. I just installed an OEM TT alternator and there is only one stud coming off of it (??), I grounded the 8mm to one of the random holes on the housing, about to toss the old autozone one in and see if it makes a difference. WTF

edit: swapped the alternator, no difference

Are you sure the injectors are not just gummed up? Has the car been sitting for a while? If so, try and take straight power to them. Get an old connector that hooks up to the injector. take out the retaining clip, so its easy to remove. Wire it so one wire goes to the positive of the battery and one to the negative. Connect to injector, hook positive up first. Use the other wire to slowly tap the negative side, you should here it click. If not, keep trying until either it clicks or after a minute or so, there is no hope. This will create a less spark using the negative.

This will also let you know the injector works. Make sure to test the injectors as well. I have done this several times to revive old stuck injectors. Let us know if this works or if you figure out something else.
