can anyone tell me what the difference is between the '91 SE and '91 LE? and how I can tell them apart? from what I found on Edmunds, they seem to have power everything on both model grades... in which case, what's the difference?

it's been 3 weeks and still no 240... but i got a shot at one tomorrow and i need to know what to offer the seller. he doesn't know if it's an LE or SE, but says it has power everything, so he's guessing it's an LE... but an LE carries a $400 premium over the SE in market value, so I'd like to be sure that I'm paying what it's worth.

btw, the seller wanted $5500 for a black '91 w/126k mi on it. that's obviously too much, but i'm planning to offer Edmund's market value, which is $3450 (SE) - $3850 (LE). the seller says it's too low because he put in $900 in audio equipment... i personally don't need the audio equipment, but I don't think he wants to take the audio equipment out to sell separately... I'm thinking about offering $500 for the audio equipment... is that reasonable? too much, too low?

thanks!

fyi, it looks like an LE is an SE w/leather + A/C. and a special edition is a '92 convertible (debut year).

le and se, exactly the same. le just has leather, hence "LE" leather edition. SE, special edition (i think) fully loaded package,no leather

Even at the market value + the audio he added it isn't 5,500 he's wanting. :\ HAGGLE HAGGLE HAGGLE :D I'll kick you in the face if you give him 5,500...I'll sale you my moms 92 240sx(5spd) for cheaper than that. :D Even though it's only a base model.

if he puts $900 dollars in audio equipment into it, that doesn't mean jack ****, and shouldn't bring up the price more than $100

awww man... i went to check out the car and it turned out to be an automatic... i could've sworn the ad said it was a 5spd... but sure enough, i went back and checked the ad and it didn't specify the transmission type... i guess after all this time i've been rather hopeful and am starting to jump to conclusions... sigh... back to the classifieds... :(
