I have an '89 hatch with a SOHC (with over bore, shaved head, angled valves) that just isn't running right no matter what i do. So I went out and picked up a '92 KA24DE motor (atleast so i thought). It turns out it's from a '91. I know there were some alterations between the '91 and '92 models but as far as the motor is concerned, what are the differences? I have been hearing through the wire that the '92 is better but I'm not certain, and what better place to find out than ask all you guys? Also I'm kinda struck as far as an exhaust solution so any input on that would be welcome as well. Thanks for your input, peace out cub scout!

That's good. I thought I was going to have to put a hand full of nuts and bolts under someones valve cover but if they're the same then it doesn't really matter, does it? Thanks for the info.

the cams changed in 1993. Early 93's have the good cams. Late 93-94 cams are the same as S14's. If its got butterfly valves in the intake manifold, its got the 240/248 cams.
