91 installing new stereo

91 maximawhen i bought it. it already had an old aftermarket jvc installed and a car phone. lol. and the wires really dont match up to the online guides.

blue-green w/ yellow stripe--blue w/ white stripeblack w/ red stripered w/ yellow stripebrown w/ white stripe--yellowyellow w/ green stripe-red w/ fusebrown--grayblack w/ red stripe--yellow--blackblue--whiteblack w/ white stripe--greenpink--purpleblue--greenbrown w/ black stripe

these are the stock wires coming out of the harness going to the old jvc harness wires.

We have wiring diagrams on here somewhere, you can always google it and you should come up with a diagram somewhere. You are going to have to get rid of the wires going to your jvc unit. It looks like somebody just chopped off the actual harness part.

so are you getting a new one? if so, what company? i recently installed a Kenwood HU and it kicks the s**t out of my stock.
