I just recently purchased a set of tokico shocks for my 91 infiniti q45,and had midas muffler install the shocks, but when I went to go pickup the car, and drove the car it was bouncing in the rear like a basketball, I suddenly realized then that they did not take the car on a test drive and that the rear tokico struts was disfuncional and not working, has anyone ever purchased a brand new set of struts that did not work.

No. Did Midas scar the strut rods with pliers when they installed them contrary to the included warning?

If so, they are ruined.

I think the spring was installed incorrectly. Take it back to them and have them fix it.

I had a similar problem on a 55 Chevy where I installed the rear leaf spring bracket backwards which prevented it from moving, causing the rear end to bounce like a low rider.
