First off, I wish I had found this forum a long time ago.I have a '91 hardbody 2WD 2.4L w/ 204,000 miles on it, I had bought it at 100k. For the most part it has been reliable except this one issue is that at idle, I get unburnt fuel dripping out the exhaust, while driving, I'm not sure it still happens, but when I come back to idle, red light for instance, its a bit rough, seems to idle up and down to keep it from dying.Another odd bit, its worse when the outside temp is warm, say 65F or greater.I was just wondering if anyone here had any thoughts?

Forgot to mention, this happens through two new sets of plugs, wires, distributer and cap, and fuel and air filters.

Vacuum leaks quite possibly.

Get a can of carb cleaner and spray around all vacuum lines/fittings with the truck at idle. If you hear the idle change when you spray a certain spot, you found a leak.

It is fuel injected, I was thinking that there were not any vacuum hoses, shows you how much I know.

It seems like thats a problem with the gas tanks. The sending hose tends to pop off and leak fuel all over. Is that just something that happens or what?

That should never happen, lol. You will not have fuel coming out of your exhaust without fouling out the plugs on your KA, what your seeing is condensation which indicates a clean burn from your engine. Still your symotoms as suggested above sound like a vacuum related problem. peace.
