So when the truck is cold cranks over fast and good. Drive it to the store and when trying to restart it has hard time cranking over, its like the motor is fighting itself to turn over. Very slow wa wa wa wa like the timing is off but runs great when starts. I have reset the timing properly by removing the maf wiring and tuning down idle air and so on as was described by a Nissan mechanic. I also have put a ground strait to the starter. Battery is new. Only thing I can think of is a sensor dealing with the temperature is bad but I don't know where to start. Truck is a champ runs great, plenty power just has trouble starting warm and has no check engine light on. Any help be much appreciated. She's got 200,000 miles and I want keep her going thank you

To me it sound's like something is getting harder to turn.

Unless someone offer's a better Idea: I would start with the simple thing's that are associated with the Engine Belt's.

If you have AC,, try starting it with the AC Off. Check all the Belt Tension Pulley's to see if any are hard to turn,, and then while you got that belt loose,, check the component itself to make sure that it's bearing's aren't shot, ie like Compressor, Altinator, Water Pump, etc.

On my '93,, the Water Pump went out at 175K mile's.

Hopefully it'll be something simple.

Good Luck

After some investigation of temp sensors I realized there are two different temp sensors, one is a sending unit to the temp gauge and other is to the ecu. I thought the red plug sensor was the only one. Since the temp gauge worked fine I wrote it off, but that's not the case. On my truck the red plug looks to be issue, now knowing it tells the ecu the temp of the truck I believe it is the problem. Truck always thinks its cold and thus always trying to cold start itself. I'll let everyone know when I solve it. Need some money for parts. For now I deal with it. Thanks for the feed back
