DE as in no turbo? Don't even start. Unless your goal is 200hp or less the RB20DE puts you at a serious disadvantage, KA24-powered 240SXs should be able to walk you like a dog. What are you expectations for the car?

Yeah, I can walk faster than that car. Then again, if you got it for cheap, it'll make a decent RB25det swap project.

As for the original question, nengun.com is a good site, and yahoo auctions japan, if you can read japanese.

Well i got the car for a decent price. Well for up here in canada its a decent price. I have no idea what to expectout of the car thats why i asked. The only difference i can see between the RB20DE and RB20DET is a bolted on turbo with some headers different intake. both twin cam 24 valve. I am looking to find a turbo i can bolt on.

If this is a really BAD idea please let me know why and then my course of action would be a engine swap.If engine swap isa better choice where can i find a decent engine and what type should i be looking for? RB20 RB25?

The conversion is more trouble than it's worth. The computer is different, injectors are smaller, compression is dangerously high etc. Like I said, if 200 or less is your power goal you could do it with bolt ons but the car will never be fast.

For sure not worth it putting a turbo on that motor. It's cheaper to just swap in a RB20det after you consider the above mentioned computer, harness, injectors, and the high comp ratio. If you are swapping motors anyways though, I'd just go RB25. RB20's top out at around 400hp. You can get close to 550hp with an RB25det on stock internals. My buddy is making close to 600hp with a stock head gasket, but we are all just waiting for it to blow up.
