91 door locks.

sup fellas, im just lookin for some input. my 91 240 is so wierd.

heres an example. If i lock my doors when the doors are closed they lock fine.. if i get out of the car and lock them.. when i shut the door it unlocks its self..

so 1 door would be locked and the one i shut unlocked its self. why do you think this would happen?

maybie their is a keyless entry box hidden somewhere causeing problems?

so you will not lock your keys in the car.

yep. i think its called vaccuum locks.when you lock your door from the inside and get out, you have to pull up on the outside handle when you close the door. Or you can just use the key to lock it.

I'd gladly pay a locksmith $150 to get my keys out once every couple of years than to be annoyed by this BS at least three times per day, everyday. I'm glad some of you like it but if it was such a great idea, why was it nixed several years ago.

BTW: if anyone knows how to disable this crap, i would be very grateful to find out how. It wouldn't be so bad if i had power locks and a remote alarm, but this sh*t is extremely annoying with manual locks. You gotta tell all your passengers about it (and they'll still forget when they get out) and if your hands are full when you're exiting the car you gotta put stuff down to lock the damn door.
