91 DOHC auto 240sx vs 98 manuel civic ex ??? video

ok one problem that i really hate everytime i race my friend civic he always beats me is it becaz his car is stick and mines is auto or is this normal??his car is complety stock.

unless it was in dire need of paint, which I have a feeling it wasn't, I would have gone with basics like switching to a standard transmission, intake, exhaust, TUNE UP, fluid changes.

well here is a pick it looks wooser then it looks i need paint job cost:$500.00to fix dentscost:$500.00how much would a DOHC frnt bumber both fenders and both doors cost in junkyards??and all those mods can wait for later i need to get paint asap ..!!

DOHC FRONT bumper? there are two kinds of stock bumpers for us with s13's. wich is chuki which is like thisand zenki that is like thissorry only picture i found was with a front lip

but you are looking at about 40$ per door and fender maybe 50$ for bumper. depends on where you go pick N Pull is ok but sometimes there prices are absurd try to go when they have a sale. also i sat paint is last i know it might bother you somewhat but as long as there is nor rust there is no rush. inexpensive mods there are non. but its depends on whats your driving style. just straight racing go turbo thats the best for the money,drifting make sure your suspension is nice and tight. but before doing all that make sure your car is in tip top shape meaning full tune up. check the hoses, air filter, spark plugs, motor oil, transmission oil, fuel pump water pump etc. basicly all fluids and evrything that makes your motor crank.

yeah i was talking about the chuki front bumbperdamm so thats 80$ for a pair of doors and fenders and bumper i should mighest well cough up 5 bills to get my dents fixed all nice and smoth.oh yeah the only rust on my car is just one lil hole were the stock SE wing is at and its alittle rust ...yeah thanks im working on all this

you want more speed? get a tune up on the car! that is very important. i mean change everything! motor oil, oil filter, spark plugs, and wires, air filter(well try and get an air intake), fuel filter, and and transmission oil! you can free up some HPs by getting an exhaust(straight pipe!!). oh and most important!! YOU REALLY NEED THAT MANUAL transmission SWAP!! do this and some you will be smashing on your friends little civic

yep... damn you lost to a 98 civic ex... well like they said your 240sx is an auto and the civic is a manual... big different rite there. i can be a 99 civic si with my 91 240 but you have to knoe how to launch you 240 in order to have good traction n ya my 240sx is a ka24de with header and cat-back and intake and the civic is a b16 with intake and header. if you want to knoe how i launch my 240 i launch it at about 3500-4200 rpm in that range with street tires...

if anyone knoe how to launch there ka24de with street tires let me knoe i might be wrong on my launching skills with my ka.... thanks

i beat my friends 94 civic with my old 240 which was a 89 with the sigle cam and it was automatic.

YEAH! THERE IS NO REASON WHY YOU LOSE TO THE CIVIC!! i have beaten lots of civics! yeah some are pretty fast, and no i have not yet ran a new 06 civic SI, but i wanna! even when i had my S13(single cam) i would destroy civics, accords, del sols, CRXs , and even preludes.... but my S13 wasnt stock! HAHAHA!! my S13 was pretty fast! but still just get your tune up done and run him again.... oh and if you are going to street race.... please dont do it in the rain.

well i knoe alot of people likes to mod there civic... i thinks its the way how they mod there civic if they mod it the right way it will be fast but if they suck at modding there civic then its slow... like i can smoke a 99 civic si the one with the b16 vtec. but i lost to my cousins 96 hatch si with a d16 single cam vtec... dont you think its weird.... hahahahahaha

it all depend on how they mod there civic and how you mod your 240 and yea weight counts too.... if your a fat person you will lose and if your a boney person then you have a change...

yeah my buddys 240 is manuel! trust me his S13 will crust his civic. what i think it is...... well let me ask you this first. when you raced you buddy how high did the RPMs get to before the car would shift? i mean like did it shift at 5000rpm? or even 6000rpm? that could make a big diffirence! because he is getting everything out on his gears, and you are not! i watched the video.... and you took off on him! you beening auto and him beening manuel... that just shows that he beat you on the long run.... on the high end! is your buddys civic hooked up?? what mods does he have on his car?
