I have searched and searched but havent found anything that makes sense in regards to my problem.

Last Saturday I was having a problem and narrowed it down to a bad injector. I went to the junkyard, got an injector out of a KA24de Altima (same part number) and popped it in. My car ran GREAT! My brother who also owns a 240 w/ a ka24de was also having problems with his car and he thought it to be the MAF. He swapped my MAF for his and his car ran fine with my MAF. We put my MAF back on my car and I left. Next day my car started running stupid and puking out smoke and REEKING of gas. I thought maybe his car messed up my maf so I got a new MAF. Still running like crap. New plugs, different plug wires, cap and rotor, still no change. At high RPM's it "seems" ok. Not high speed, just high RPM's it seems ok. So...Smell of gas, backfires on declining RPM's, Idles like crap,Low RPM's are junk, doesnt start properly anymore and high RPM's it seems "OK". HELP! Oh yeah....P.S. No check engine lights or anything either.

All of my Injectors are spraying fine. IACV? Where is that located? P.S. I KNOW the problem is with the #1 cylinder.Thats the injector that went out and I replaced and if I start my car and let it idle i can pop off the plug wire on #1 and it runs crappy just the same but if i try 2 3 or 4 it REALLY starts running ROUGH.

Pull the #1 plug. Is it wet with gas? If so, check your injector driver with a noid light and your fuel injector. If not, make sure you're getting spark to #1.

I think I found the problem. I did a little more searching and I think I toasted my O-ring on my injector when I was switching them out. Thanks for the help and I'm gonna try it. If that is not the problem i guess i'll be RIGHT back on the boards asking you the same questions. Thanks Again for all your help. I am CONVINCED that this site is the greatest invention for a nissan owner since the FSM and its because of you knowledgable people. Thanks again!

I just want to say that if ANYONE ever has a problem like this to at least check your o-rings on your injectors. It was my problem and it was the problem on my brothers car. Both of us replaced a ton of parts before even checking this so it could save somebody alot of time and money. Thanks again to everyone.
