I did not realize such a piece was necessary. The part looks oem and if it is, why would they make such a part? i'm sure they had not anticipated people switching front bumpers.

It is necessary for the later bumper to look correct. There is a driver and passenger side piece. As far as I know, it's just how it's made. Changes the look.

this is true, I did the bumper swap. the 91 up bumper hang lower and are a bit wider, so these pieces make the transition. personal experiance.

yeah i put those side thingys on when i swapped. you dont need them if you dont mind the bumper sticking out a little.

yeah i'm leaning toward the pignose also, but only because i have the lip. It makes all the difference, IMO. I found a killer deal on someone's used zenki bumper. mine is jacked up :P
