Does anyone have any pics of an '91-'93 240 with Tein springs on. I'm trying to see how much the springs drop the car. Also, what are your impressions. . . . .I'm thinking about getting them and pairing them up with AGX 4-way adjustables. Thanks

if you are planning to drift dont get tein springs they blow shock but if you are not then the are ok but the are not to stiff i would go with eibach springs ther are stiffer and they lower the car by like 2.2''

heres my 90 fastback with the tein springs, it is an alright drop compared to stock but its not a big difference, like kike said i'd go wit the eibachs if i could do it again, supposedly theyre stiffer and provide a better drop hehe but there u go

I will be drifting the car, so what do you recommend?

how much $ to fiddle with?cheap kyb agx +eibach try to avoid the spring that lowers too much i forgot the name.more expensive koni yellow +eibach or ground control coils.then entry coilovers 1k-1.5k?and theres like a billion choices if you have a 2k-2.5k spending limit.

the eibachs suck. they are softer than the teins and they blow shocks since they lower so much. i'd go with the teins

i have teins and if they were any lower I'd be dragging the bottom of my car. I'll throw up a picture tomorrow. They are good but I really wish I never lowered my car. I'm too poor / lazy to get the proper camber correcting parts. I go through tires quick.

I have teins on my s13 but the car is not more than an inch lower than stock. I raised it after coming close to scraping on things here and there...haven't felt like lowering it. As for drifting I have the type HE's and have had no trouble with them breaking, though rumors abound about everything and somebody somwhere has surely broken teins drifting.

I think my teins are fine but I have heard great things about silk road and I may have tried them out if I could go back and do it again. The teins haven't dissapointed me yet though.

I have the Tein S-Techs as well.

As far as springs blowing shocks, sounds like you guys must have sucky shocks.

The vert is heavier than any of your coupes or hatches, and my cheap KYB's are fine with the Tein's. Nice ride, good drop.

I would compare the Tein S-Techs and the Eibach Pro-kits to be about the same. I've had both. Had the sportlines as well they suck, cause they have too soft of spring rate for being that low.

Pics:Here's my old one on eibach Pro-kits and GR-2s.

Here's my car with tein S-techs and stock shocks, when I first got this one.

Here is my car now for reference with D2 Coilovers 9/7 spring rate, no problems at all so far.

EIBACH PROKITSpring Rate - F : 1.84~1.92kg/mmSpring Rate - R : 2.3~2.4kg/mmRide Height - F : -1.8" (eibach site) -1" (jnm240 test)Ride Height - R : -1.6" (eibach site) -.75" (test)

EIBACH SPORTLINESpring Rate - F : 1.92~2.0kg/mmSpring Rate - R : 2.4~2.5kg/mmRide Height - F : -2.2" / -1.75" (test)Ride Height - R : -2.1" / -1.75" (test)

TEIN S-TECH(progressive, TEIN only lists the maximal rate)Spring Rate - F : 3.7Spring Rate - R : 3.2Ride Height - F : -1.5"Ride Height - R : -1.2"

TEIN HIGH-TECHSpring Rate - F: 3.3 (s13); 3.2 (s14)Spring Rate - R: 2.9 (s13); 3.1 (s14)Ride Height - F: -0.9" (s13); -0.7" (s14)Ride Height - R: -0.6" (s13); -0.4" (s14)

the teins are progressive yes, so they might feel softer unless you really push them, but eibachs are only the first step up from stock

if you really want to push it and can afford it, get RS*R race or something similar with AGX or even better koni yellows

I just installed my S Techs and I would have to agree with this assessment. I will be pushing them in June on the auto-x, so that will be a better test than tooling around the 'hood.

TEIN Basic coilovers are cheap, I've seen them for like $800-$900.
