what up peeps I have had this 1991 300zx non turbo for bout 1 year. Lots problems I have replaced all 6 injectors all 6 coil packs ptu, tps and battery and the fusible link fuse by battery the main fuse twice. Now after putting car back together after new injectors i am gettin the car to crank but no start. error code 21 is comming up but i already replaced it las year so not sure why that code is back again. I even put the old one back on and still same problem. Also i was messing with the wires on the cam angle sensor while battery was hooked up and my # 3 Coil pack started sizzling and getting very hot with this black stringy stuff started to come out of coil pack, not all coil pack jus #3. What is that about????? so really not sure what else to do. Pls HELP ME GET THIS CAR RUNNING. All light work fuel pump is turning onn, and smell gas so not sure this sucks. Also I have the ground wire from injectors fuel rail hooked up. And the two (double) ground wires hooked up by #6 injector and by #5 injector the single ground hooked up. I can not find any other grounds any where. I have seen pics of where they should be but unless there diff ground wires from the other 3 i mentioned. Do they look diff from them diff color or what??????

Sounds like you got a nasty short somewhere in the IGN system, start tracing wires especially ones related to #3 COP

Im going with what Nolimit is saying as well. It may be a good idea, if you have the funds still, to get a new wiring harness. It sounds like you have the original harness and its toast. I know conceptz has them and its really not too bad of a price, I think about $400. This may solve a lot more problems that you may have down the road as well.

But before you start throwing more money at it, test, test , test. Trace back the wire, see if its shorted, corroded, cracked, or just worn down. This is a pain, but you will be satisfied in the end if you find the problem.
