Hi, I have a 91 240sx and I bought it not too long ago. The person I bought it from never gave me a key and it has been months so I gave up and tried to run it without the key. I took the ignition out and started it fine that way. While I was letting it idle and listening to the engine the ignition switch slid and the connectors on the back all connected to a piece of metal on the steering colum. After that the power windows wouldnt work and the car does not try to start. power locks do work though. I figure the ecu might be fried. Any ideas? I have a ecu from a 93 convertible that I can put in sometime and try out but I am not that sure that it is the problem. Even if a fuse went out for the ignition or starter then would that stop the power windows from working? Please give me detailed info of anything it could be. I have been havin problems finding the ignition and starter fuses and relays. Thanks.
