I recently purchased a 91 240sx with what i was told a 95 engine, i quickly noticed the it accelerates extremely slow, but everything else seems to be fine like idle and cluth is grabbing and its getting fuel. i've done tons and tons of reserch and i think i somewhat think it may be the distributor dizzy everyone in my research says something about a TDC. If its not set right when you put your distributor dizzy in it wont run right. I'm extremely confused and lost. if any of this makes sense to anyone and has dealt with this, and knows how to fix it. it would be extremely appreciated. Thanks Rey

Its called a distributor and yes it sounds like your timing is off get a timing light and check it.

ive had the timing set before and it still runs bad. i was thinking when they changed out the distributors the tdc wasnt in the right spot. thats why its driving like it is so i was thinking to take it out and reinstall it to see if it corrects the problem

TDC is relating to timing. TDC stands for Top Dead Center, which is the start of the motor's cycle. If you don't have your motor set to TDC when you get your timing set, your timing WILL be off, and will cause your car to run sluggish or not at all.
