I replaced my engine with a rebuilt one. did some head work, removed the secondary butterflies in the intake manifold and kind of jury rigged the remaining vacuum lines. there is no vacuum diagram sticker under my hood and the lousy chilton's has every diagram except for the 240sx with the ka24de engine. it does have the ka24e though, but i know that there are differences. It worked fine till my radiator cracked and the car overheated. now it just won't idle anymore, idles at 800 for a few seconds then drops below 400, the cashakes really bad and then it shuts off. if you keep the revs above 1500, it runs fine.checked everything imagineable, but i believe it has to do with vacuum. does anyone have the diagrams for my car? it's been sitting for over 2 months because of this. I'm stumped. Help!!! please!!!

if you jury rigged the vacuum lines then it is possible that there is an intake leak. there are a few major hoses coming off the plastic intake try pinching shut some of those. there is also one on the inside middle side of the intake plenium, which is kinda hard to get to with the intake runners in the way. if none of that helps your leak/problem is elsewhere. If it does help try pinching shut various smaller hoses you have messed with, if one is causing the intake leak your idle will improve. dont be afraid to dig deep to get to hoses, a needle nose pliers comes in handy when at the rear of the engine with that ugly mess of vacuum hoses.
