I just bought this car a little over a week ago and it's already giving me problems. When I go out to start the car, it only does this in the early morning when the car has been sitting for the night. The guy I bought it from did a bunch of work to it to make it run good. It sat in his garage for 3 years.

I will start it and it barely starts up and dies. It will turn over and turn on but only for a fraction of a second. When I turn it over again it just turns over and over.

I checked the spark plugs and they are a little black and stunk like gasoline. I cleaned them up (gonna go and buy new ones later today.) I checked the spark and there is spark. I even pulled the whole air induction system out and checked all of that.

I got it to start last night after doing all of it, but it sure blew out a lot of white smoke. After I let it warm up for a few minutes and shut it off to restart it. It started like normal.

I'm going to replace the fuel filter and spark plugs today just to be safe. What do you think my problem could be? It runs fine when it runs it only does this sometimes. Twice this week.

PLEASE HELP!!! Thank you!!

Since it sat 3 years in that guy's garage, maybe some tubes related to the fuel or oil is clogged up.

He did a bunch of work to the motor before it came to me. New timing chain, did something with the valves. New radiator (coolant seems rather dirty, white stuff in it.), new master cylinder. Looks like he spent lots of time, just seems to be only doing that. By the way, I checked the fuel, it's being delivered perfectly into the cylinders. The spark plugs were saturated with gas so no fuel problem. I had the oil changed at Jiffy Lube, it's still running Synthetic at 193,000 miles so I doubt a blockage. The guy said the oil was really clean, surprised him.

I might just get those injectors, these do have 193k on them.
