I am having an intermittent problem with my low-beams. I'll turn the lights on, and neither of the headlights will turn on immediately. After a few seconds, the driver side light will come on, but the pass side barely ever turns on. The high beams on the other hand work every time all the time. What would cause something like this? The headlights are brand new as I initially thought that was the problem.

I believe there's a timer control unit for the lights. My guess is that the unit is bad. I could be mistaken though.

nope thats the one, remove the coloum covers and the switch screws on from the side. I dont believe on the 240 that you need to remove the steering wheel. I cant recall for sure about that though. If not you would have to remove the steering wheel to get it off. The way to tell is the new one will have a arm on either side if its the one that the steering wheel needs to come off for.

So 3 months later, I finally found a switch in the junkyard.... problem solved! Thanks for the tip!
