hi guysi'm currently looking at a 91 240 fastback. There's some eye-level problems on it. For instance, the a/c blows but is lukewarm, the drivers side frame is a lil bent, and supposedly everything works fine. No power locks or windows. I'm offering 1800 for the car and 17" rims, jdm signals, and tein springs.

I'm gonna go over and chek it out soon and test drive it. Are there any specific common problems that i should look for? What are the infamous problems for 91's. Is there any way to fix the lil frame damage?

Tahnks for any and all help.

listen for timing chain rattle, kinda sounds like a rollercoaster going up a hill... ka's are famous for them. check for rust under the rear spoiler if it has it. those are the only 240 based problems i can think of, just make sure its in overall good condition.

don't know bout the frame damage, how bad is it?

do you really need a/c? :P

also do a thurough search of 240 tech section, that will pretty much list all the common 240 issues and may have some advise on repairs for your known issues

thanks for ur replies. As far as the frame damage, the hole that is attached to the headlight does not match up with the frame. It's supposed to screw into the frame, but it does not do that anymore. This is only on the drivers side, passenger side is perfect. It is shown below. Is this fixable? For how much? How much to fix chain rattle?

Hammer

timing chain depends on where you get it fixed, or if you do it yourself, anywhere from 500-1200 for the chain, or about 250 to do yourself(replaces everything).
