while reading up on replacing my steering pump for my 89 i saw some people made the suggestion to uprgade to a 91-92 pump since its a higher pressure pump. question is with the 91 coming in a 2 and a 4 wheel steer, which pump is a high pressure pump or are both a high pressure pump. i would guess it would be the 4ws pump, but i dont want to be wrong and end up the 4ws steer pump not fitting on my car. if anyone can point me in the right direction id appericate it.

I have had dohc and sohc pumps and the feal almost the same to me. Actually the dohc pump deals a little better like you have more control but that's just me. As for having hicas I'm not sure but I've also rocked no power steering and to me power steering is power steering. I've looked up part numbers and multiple times have come up the same.

yes the difference people are saying is overall improved steering response and feel. there is a difference between the parts every store ill called as asked if its a 2 or 4ws vehicle.

The 4ws has a second output port for the steering section. You'll need the 2 wheel steer pump.
