My car had been off the road for over a year (bought an 02 Maxima that I use) and decided in summer of 05 to ready it to sell (have 3 kids now - so impractical). I am original owner and have spent many days under the hood - mostly routine stuff. It has almost 200K with a rebuilt engine (that had 65K on it) at about 140K (I didn't tackle that). That was when issues started. Most major issue since was changing the clutch master cylinder many issues occured and it took many 'attempts' before it was completed - but it is working fine now. Most recently my driveway was 'painted' with power steering fluid and it is like driving a truck. I ordered a Beck Arnley power steering high pressure hose (109-2098) for about $40 but I read in forum's that it may be tough to remove the old one and that a power steering hardline may 'break' when I try. i see no 'part' called a power steering hardline and wonder if perhaps this is the problem in the first place. Does anyone have experience changing this and am I replacing only part of the potential problem with the high pressure hose. Leak is difficult to pinpoint exactly, but is not the return hose and not the pump and not the resevour. Thank you for your attention
