91 240 SX, pegs out the Temp gauge when starting out in the morning, will go sky high in the first 10 minutes of driving then mellow out at half (normal) spot on gauge. .....Also when the weather is warm (above 70 degrees) while moving down the highway is fine, any traffic in the highway or starting stopping will make gauge creep up but has never overheated to my knowledge. I had the fan clutch assembly replaced about a year ago, could this be my problem again? Or is it time for a new radiator????

maybe you should check for any airbubbles in your cooling system..maybe a flush is needed?i dont know why it should reach "sky high" temps during the first 10 mins of driving...

Your problem could be due to a marginal thermostat that's not opening properly.

Replace the thermostat with a new OEM unit. Don't use an aftermarket thermo because they can cause problems.
