When the car is constantly going uphill or is turning and the fuel is all forced to one side, the fuel is not going to the engine. The problem got worse now, it happens even I'm going straight on the freeway.

I suspect the problem is from either: the fuel injectors, fuel pump, fuel filter, any fuel-related tubes.

Does anyone experienced the same problem or have any idea or suggestion? Thanks!

A couple of questions first. How do you know fuel is not going to the engine. What I mean by that is where have you found fuel not flowing where it should be? If you check it in series you will find the failed part. Gas tank----Fuel Pump----Fuel Filter----Fuel Rail----Injector. Start from there and find out which of those doesnt get gas. If you find that then its easy to diagnose. Are you sure you dont have a slowly failing injector? I had one before and it kinda sounds like what your describing. Every once in a while I would be running on 3 cylinders and then it would kick back to 4 and be fine for 150 miles, then for no reason back to 3 again. Then it TOTALLY died going down the highway and I just popped in a new injector and she was tip top again. Nissan part number A46-00. Found in pretty much any FI Nissan that does not have Top Feed Injectors. I got mine at a junk yard out of a 95 Altima GXE (KA24DE). Try that.

Quick question with your injectors. Awhile ago, before they started really acting up, did the car not want to start up for you in the mornings? Mine has done it twice to me now and I end up being hours late for work because it just turns over and over.

I'm pretty sure I found it, the injector o-rings are bad and they slowly leak fuel into the injectors over night, just a drip at a time. It only does it after it sat for a long time. I will go to start it and it's already flooded basically because of it dripping. When it did it last time, I pulled each spark plug and noticed the tips were black with carbon and that they were wet with gasoline (which smelled strong). I start it up and it will finally turn over, it takes a long time. When it does a huge plume of white smoke comes out and smokes the neighborhood out

I'm probably going to spring for new injectors but I'd hate to make a $200 mistake.

Any suggestions on it? It runs tip top when it does run though. It's my daily driver, it has done it twice in a week.

Thank you

Bryan

When it happens, it feels like I'm out of gas, the car won't go and when I step harder of the gas it goes. I can feel the car constantly slowing down and speeding up even my foot stays still. Actually I really think the problem is from the injector and I've got another fuel rail along with injectors. But it's just so hard to replace the whole thing, cuz one of the screw of the fuel rail is hid deep under, I can't turn it even though I can reach it. I tried pulling out the injectors from the other fuel rail but it's like impossbile without breaking them. I was just hoping that it's not the injectors so I don't have to go through this trouble. Well, let me try to replace the fuel filter and see what happens. And, where is the fuel filter located? Thanks.

Yes, now my car is beginning not to start that smooth, before it will start in just one "HIG" and it'll go "THROOOOM", now it's like "HIG HIG HIG HIG HIG HIG HIG HIG THROOOOM". Not only in the mornings though.

My recomendation to you is to go to the local junkyard and pay $25 for a set (4) of injectors and pop them in and see wht happens. No need to buy brand new ones. Like I said before, ANY fuel injected Nissan that is not using TOP-FEED injectors [CA20E, CA18E use TOPFEED and the VG30E uses a crazy BOTTOM/SIDE-FEED type thing], pretty much any DOHC nissan will have the A46-00 injectors. If your not familiar with TOP-FEED injectors, they have a little hose coming off of the fuelrail going into the top of the injector VS. Side-Feed which will go right into the fuelrail and feed through the side of the injector. Save some headaches and swearwords and give it a try. :-) P.S. if you figure out a better way to remove an injector and not OBLITERATE the red plastic top please post it. LOL

I figured out how to pull out the injectors on my other fuel rail. I pushed the injector from the bottom so that the injector will raise about 2mm, then i can use a screw driver to plie it out.

But now the biggest problem are the screws on the fuel injector caps. They are very easily sheered, I sheered 2 of them already. Tried drilling the screws on my other fuel rail for an experiment to see if i can drill out the screws, the screws are kinda long, my driller tip sheered out.

So, basically, now i'm stuck. Damn it.
