'91 240SX - car died while driving

It happened three or four times in the past about 10 months.
While driving, the car was suddenly shut off but luckily I could gain the control of steering and safely parked the car. Then, if I tried to re-start the engine, it didn't turn over about 4-5 times or more, then it suddenly turned over again.

What should I check first in order to resolve this issue? Is there any good shop in Bay Area, CA to check the error code? Thanks.

I would check your fuel pump pressure and when was the last time the fuel filter was replaced?
