The problem im having is my a/c works ok at nite and afternoon but hardly cold during the day, this is 115 degree az heat. I have done so much troubleshooting and i cant figure it out. Every component has been replaced, compressor, condensor, receiver drier, expansion valve and completely flushed out all lines. Its charged with r12 and was drawn to 25inch lbs vacuum for 1 hour before charging. I have 2 electric fans installed with belt driven removed. Im not sure if the 240sx has a cycling ac compressor or variable displacement compressor, because I have noticed my compressor never cycles on and off. I did replace the pressure sensor also and my pressures sky rocket when its hot outside, low side to about 50psi and high side about 250psi, when i spray water on the condensor it dramatically drops the pressures and starts blowing cold. I did notice a sort like temperature sensor on the evaperator core when i replaced the expansion valve and not sure if its to cycle the compressor or safety feature so compressor doesnt kick on and freeze up if accedentially turned on in winter time. I feel like I have done everything possible and still cant get my ac to work right and it suks being in 115 degree heat with no ac.

sounds like an air flow issue. do you have maybe a giant fan(i know kinda wierd, i work in a shop so i have one, dont know what you have, fan, leaf blower) see if you can get a good amount of air across the condensor and see what your pressures do. mabe use an identifier and see if you have air in the system. those are very high pressures. make sure the space between the condenssor and radiator, and the radiator fins arent plugged with gebris. with the two fans, do you still have the stock condenssor fan?

sounds like your ac is overcharged. too much freon will result in too hi pressures, pressure = heat. heat = no ac. you should have charged your ac to its optimum pressure on a very hot day.

Yeah I don't think its an airflow issue cuz I have 2 10 inch puller fans installed and its a brand new condensor so I know the fins are good, I have tried letting freon out but pressures are still too high, even when I'm on the freeway getting plenty of airflow it will start over heating and I have a aluminum rad installed, like I did mention though my compressor never cycles on and off don't know if its a cycling compressor or not, I'm stumped
