hey all i just bought a 91 240 off some kid he had taken the motor out to rebuild it and whatever. so idk they said they couldnt get the car to run so i bought it. basically my first problem i have been trying to address is why the car has no power to the inside. i replaced the whole engine harness cause the kid hacked it up, but before anyone says check the interior harness i followed the whole harness inside the car and in the engine bay, and i dont see anything that doesnt look factory..... basically when i turn the key to the on position NOTHING. no cluster, windows, or starter click. i really dont know where to go from here i noticed the battery ground strap is mounted to the bolt that keeps the upper and lower manifold together im gonna re-do it to the tray like its supposed to be. but any other thoughts FUSES check out ok.

ok so i was checking the wiring i found that the single fat wire going from the little red block on the positive terminal had been "repaired" but it straight just came apart. so i redid it and now im getting power to the acc relay, and the starter relay. starter relay click but nothing happens. so i was checking fuses and wires etc etc. found out the solenoid wire had been disconnected. so i reconnected NOW i have the car cranking but now im battle more into no spark. most of my fuses have NO power going to them.

and in my relax box i dont have a ign.coil relay? like its blank no connector or nothing nothing is cut. and i noticed in the one on the driver side that there is the spot for looks to be a clutch relay'?? and its blank also??? :wtf2: :wtf2:

I dont know about the relays but that disconnected wire on the back of the solenoid is called the "S connector" it is very common that it gets loose on any car and basicly you cant start the car. Start at the fuse and use a test light of multi-meter to check both sides of the fuse while the key is in the starting position (two people), ground the ground side of the test light of multi-meter to the chassis and touch one side of the fuse and then the other. That way you can see which side is or is not getting power and start to trace your way through the system. Good Luck
