the car looks very clean but even at 3995 that is too expensive.

3k is prolly fair for both parties.~Sam

New cloth interior? what was it---a previously flooded car?

$3995 is typical asking price from a dealer, you could probably talk 'em down. But I'd look up that VIN on carfax first.

The 4ws is fine for drifting. When the rear wheels are spinning it doesn't matter what direction they are pointed(and they don't turn that much anyway). I would say that 3k would be worth it. It does have lsd and the 4ws is not hard to disable if you find you don't like it. Don't ditch the idea of getting it because of the Hicas. The Hicas just takes some getting used to. You should learn to drive the car anyway. I've had mine for over a year now and I love it.

thanks, I need to paint the lower panel though.

Keep us updated on the car.

One thing to check for is power steering leaks at the distribution points. Just follow the hoses from the pump and make sure all the connections are tight.

You paying cash or finance dealers always seem to ask alot if its financed. not long ago a friend of mine got an s13 for 4k and 1800 down. But they were going to sell it to me for 2200 cash.(i got a 91 w/hicas for 800 )

you said it has a new floor? as in the old one rusted out? or new carpet????

if they replaced the floor , i wouldnt personally buy it, seeing as it might have a major rust problem that maybe hard to see.

it doesnt matter how much money whoever is selling it put into it, you never get the amount you put into any car when you sell it.

I would say go for it. But it's all what YOU are willing to sacrifice for it. Clean cars are getting harder and harder to find. I say if you can sleep at night after paying for the car than it was worth it.

No matter what you pay for it you will love it after it is YOURS. You will think to yourself, I can't believe I paid this much for something that was designed to compete with the old porshe(sp?) 944.

I personally would probably pay up to $3700 for it(depending on the results of my inspec.), but I am completely anal when it comes to buying cars.

I just noticed on the site it says 124k. What they're asking for is outrageous. $4ish is fine if the car has under 100k. Not to mention in Maine a car like that is not going to see year-round use. The interior looks good and the car looks like it was well-cared for. But $4100ish for that kind of mileage and the year is nuts. Oh well. Also, you cant *ask* them to lower the price. You haggle. Act like your'e not interested, talk a certain way, etc etc. But honestly, sports cars don't sit on lots for long because they're always targets for graduation gifts/presents/etc and sometimes money is a non-issue with those kind of buyers.

Good luck.
