I am trying to install 4X6 Pioneer speakers (TS-A4657) in the front door of my 91 240 SX fastback. However the holes of the speaker don't even come close to matching the holes in the door where the factory speaker was mounted. There was no speaker in the door when I took the door panel off. Should there be a factory adapter somebody may have taken out before I bought the car? The adapter Pioneer provided doesn't help at all.

Also, I'd like to buy a factory CD player if anyone has one to fit the above car. Thanks, Bill

The Speaker should have a vanala mounting bracket. If the speaker has to go right on the door then your are missing this part. Go to a junk yard and pray that its not gone. If you do have that mounting bracket you will have to bend or cut the metal part of the speaker where the mounting holes are.

What is a Vanala bracket? Is this a stock piece from Nissan that should be on the car? Thanks for your reply. Bill

yeah this is the stock piece from nissan that should already be in the car. It is the piece the both screws into the door and glues to the dor. Then on top of that piece goes the speaker which screws into the piece.
