I am in middle of putting new chains on and it is going to be a PITA if I have to take the cams out to put the new chain on. Anyone know a way around that?

It would be alot harder to replace though without removing the cams.

You *have* to remove the cam gears, because there is not enough chain slack to get the cams back in w/out binding. Just remove the two gears and leave the cams and idler gear in place.

I just read you said chains(plural), so you may want to remove the idler gear to get the lower chain on/off.

Cams do not need to come out to replace the chains. Removing the idler gear makes it easier as slip said. But cams stay in.
