I want to get some suggestions before I buy the car as to what may be the problem. When my friend bought it, it couldn't start at all, he now has it so that it starts at half crank and he just doesn't have the time to do anything else to it.It runs, but not properly. he believes fuel is getting on the plugs in the #1 & 4 cylinders. Now it's either the coilpacks/ plugs, or injector seals/injectors staying open after the engine is cut off (flooding) right??
now at one point he thought oil was gettign in there, now the guys at the CA forum says that could be the headgasket or turbo oil seals. (they stopped answering me after that info though )
His approach to cars is to buy a whole new engine instead of stressing over fixing what is wrong with the engine in the car. but he got screwed and the company sent him a DE instead of a DET...
I want to know if I could swap the coilpacks, plugs, seals over to the DET to see if they remedy the problem. these shouldn't be a problem in the turbo motor right? Or should I just have him swap in the DE and then throw the turbo etc on it?
sooo....the DE parts should be fine on the DET right?
