The new Super Street has a GTST skyline in it with 900whp. ANd a list of what you need to build it yourself. I may be pulling mine back out of the car.

i know how you feel. i am a union plumber who works in the detroit area. we dont just get hazed for driving something not american, your car gets destroyed. thats why i drive an srt-4 daily. closest to something good that wont get me beaten to death. closed minded a$$e$. they really turn a really pretty shade of red when i show them my s13 with the sbc. i built that just to make a lot of morons mad. but my rb is still faster.

I'm another, I have an a$$ of a boss who learned a hard lesson when he said my 17yo car with a 2ltr motor could never be faster than his 2001 Corvette, no matter what I did to it. Others I work with are also 100% convinced that anything Japanese is not capable of high performance.

Funny though; ever since I shut my boss up about it, none of them will take me up on my offer for a day at the track.

Hahahah yeah!

I've shut people down before going at it the same way by making them realize how uncultured thier asses are, and that "DRAG RACING IS THE ONLY THING IN THE WORLD THAT COUNTS" mentality, is the dumbest **** ever. Drag racing is the LEAST that counts in the racing world.

Yeah, I have guys at work that think American muscle is the only way to go. I have conviced one guy to put twin turbo's on his big block chevy drag car. I am helping him with the setup. I am building my RB25 powered S13 just to shut them up. I am capable of 550 to 600 whp with the setup I have now. But now I am thinking "MORE POWER!" Sad part is, I still haven't driven the car the way it sits now.

I just thought this was interesting because most of us have an 25. Ony a ffew with alot of $ have 26's. And the really broke people run 20's. But for the same displacement, I would chose the SR20 over the RB20. JMO

Hey guys

Ok - to set the record straight I am not a crack dealer - lol

Glad you like the car & there is a LOT LOT more to come from it.We have 1 competition left this Sunday @ Santa Pod here in the UK & then a lot more work will be done on the car over the winter.

The biggest handicap this year has been the hold up on the gearbox - will FINALLY be delivered in 3 - 4 weeks time (sequential with an airshifter) that will save at least 0.6 - 1sec overnight.A new engine is worked on at the mo from the 34 GTT that we hope will be good for around 1200 - 1300 BHP.The existing engine does not have a 2.7 stroker kit - it was looked at & we decided not to in the cars first season we wanted to see what the RB25 block can do.

The boost this weekend at the pod will be turned upto 3 bar & we will also run NOS properly for the first time (200 bhp direct port system) - - cant belive that the standard gearbox has not broken yet - just goes to show how well engineered they were

A lot more weight will be stripped over the winter to help the cause.

would love to run the car over in the states in 2007 - are there many competitions that would welcome the car - your help would really be appreciated if poss please ? - my e-mail address is [email protected]

Cheers for the kind comments & love the site

my apologies. As soon as i saw this i thought it was the 2.7 stroker kit.UNDER THE HOOD 24-valve RB25 (bored, honed, and balanced to 2650 cc); JUN super piston kit (Coated), Super connecting rod kit

did not mean to come off as a jerk if it sounded like it. By the way that beast is sexy!

Main reason for keeping the RB25 was to see what it could do.Certainly here in the Uk & Europe anyone who wants big horsepower in their GTST's go for the RB26 transplant.

I can understand that as it's proven, reliable & pretty simple to do.What really attracted us to keep the RB25 was partly wanting to see what it could withstand & also knowing that it revs a lot better & higher than the RB26.So far (touch wood) the engine has not missed a beat despite the boost be cranked up on the dyno

Couple of dyno vids below (a few months old now taken on the night before the cars 1st ever outing - 650 bhp at the hubs at 1. 8 bar & no nos)

http://www.dropshots.com/day.p...13756

http://www.dropshots.com/day.p...04528

In terms of the final spec for 2006 - I'll update the website over the next few weeks.

The RB25 is a seriously strong block - we have only needed to change the head gasket/studs once this season & the JUN internals look in fantastic cond after a hard year. The HKS T51 Spl turbo is superb & I can only recommend it to anyone else thinking of building a big bhp skyline - probably not for track use (T40z is more track suited)

Hi

The seats came from a company called Reverie here in the Uk - they make a lot of carbon parts mostly for smaller companies like Caterham, Noble etc (track cars) - quality is superb & weight basically nothing.

Hope the link helps

Hi yes still on std gearbox - not by choice !! We have been waiting & waiting & waiting for the new one to arrive.Still Rome wasnt built in a day etc & it gives us a great start to 2007 knowing the new box will be in & have a proper chance to test it properly rather than trying to rush it this year now.

love your turbo set up what plenum have you gone for?

I disagree. Drag racing is not just mash the gas and keep it straight. All motorsports have a place in the pantheon.

Hi,The GTST gearbox is a great box, stronger than the GTR box for sure.Problem we have though is that we are running nearly 4 times the power it was designed for & manual changes for drag are not good in terms of time loss.

The new box should save a lot of time ie/ min 0.6 to max 1.2 secs

404 rwhp seemed to send my 3rd gear back to the drawing board

nice numbers on that car.. the 25 and 26 are basically the same block... once you build it i dont see it being any worse than the 26 block

I find that hard to believe because there are tons of Z32 guys making over 400.

well if i really missed it, the gear i intended to go into wouldnt have broke. it just felt like i missed it cuz of the sound as a result of destroying it
