9006 NOT H8. At least my 05 fog lights are 9006, Not H8.

So in the parts store, online, it says my 2005 Q45 takes H8 fog light bulbs.. it does not. My factory fog lights are 9006. What gives??

There are plenty of reasons there could be a mismatch, too many to list. Best is to match the actual part on the car by pulling it and either reading off the numbers or taking it in for a visual comparison.

That's what I did... After learning that my alternator and starter are from the 2006 model. The shop could absolutely not get my alternator or starter to go on, until we ordered them for a 2006. Perfect.. strange since my stamped production date was 1/05..
