Hey guys, I am worried about the wastegate issue. They are open (could be actually one). Would it be a lot to fix? What is the worst case scenario?

FYI, I could still feel the boost in summer (Wouldnt go beyond 3.5+ in turbo gauge, canadian model) and the car was still pretty fast.

I want to get a list of possible problems and may be parts that would be needed.

I could also check for certain things if you guys point me to right direction. Thanks! :chuckle:

Check for boost leaks first. Search on here for the procedure.

3.5 Torr (mmHg) is close to 7psi, also known as safety boost.

So next I would run ECU codes. I know that procedure is on here.

Do both (or have them done) and then post back :)

The guy who I bought the bumper off, is suggesting that there will be drop in pressure due to age. Do you guys agree?

I'll find a local toronto member to help you out tomorrow. It's not difficult, just need the tools. Running the codes you can do your self. A code 34 will cause safety boost.

Don't listen to the bumper guy, he's clueless.
